Location: Based near Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY3

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, across 5 days

Weeks: 39 weeks (Term Time Only, including 5 PD days)

The Henslow and Evolution School is an OFSTED registered Independent Special School for young people with social, emotional and mental health challenges. Some of our young people are autistic, some have ADHD, almost all have experienced early childhood trauma. Our school is set across two sites, the Primary school is located in Bicton, Shrewsbury.

We are looking to employ a TA who can support individual students to get the most out of their education. The role involves varied support of a number of young people and may include taking them to do a day’s outdoor education, school trips and in lesson support. It is important that our TA’s are active and supportive members of the whole school team.

All of our staff are trained in Reflective Therapeutic Intervention, to ensure a consistent approach to our positive behaviour support and this compliments our bespoke approach to the holistic development of our students; academically, socially and emotionally. In our small, nurturing environment you will be able to genuinely make a difference; having the time to provide the attachment-based nurture and support that our students need to be successful.
