The Governors of Newport High are looking to appoint 1 permanent Classroom Cover Supervisor, 32.5 hours per week, term time only, from 1st September 2026. We are looking for an inspirational and motivated Cover Supervisor. The candidate needs to have experience of working with different groups of children including those who are vulnerable/ALN. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent classroom practice, have good interpersonal skills and be able to develop positive working relationships with young people. You will cover a range of subjects across the Key stages and be passionate about delivering a curriculum to meet the needs of our learners.
Job purpose: The post holder is required to supervise lessons during the short-term absence of the class teacher. The post holder will supervise work that has been set, manage the behaviour of students and support students with the completion of work.
