Newport Primary School are looking for a friendly and nurturing person to join our team.

We require a SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) LSA to support two children within Year 2/3 classroom working alongside the class teacher and TA. The successful candidate needs to have a positive attitude, a patient and caring nature. Putting the child\’s needs at the centre of everything you do will be essential. An understanding of SEMH needs, autism and ADHD would be a preference along with experience and knowledge of working with children with additional needs. An understanding of a TPP approach would be desirable, but is not essential.

The successful candidate will also support the children at lunchtime, helping them to build friendships and to play games.

Tasks will include general class support as well as specific interventions for the children and elements of delivering a bespoke curriculum.
