We are currently recruiting for two positions: one full-time permanent post and one 34-hour per week fixed-term post for a duration of six months.
Newport City Council is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our Adult Safeguarding Team. This key role involves leading safeguarding enquiries, coordinating multi-agency responses, and ensuring adults at risk are protected in accordance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.
Key Responsibilities
– Lead and manage adult safeguarding enquiries under Section 126.
– Provide expert advice and support to internal colleagues and external partners.
– Chair safeguarding strategy meetings and case conferences.
– Deliver timely, person-centred, and outcome-focused safeguarding interventions.
– Champion best practice and ensure compliance with safeguarding legislation and policy.
