Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner with a strong grasp of school funding and financial frameworks? Are you ready to take on the challenge of delivering effective financial planning and reporting within an educational setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We\’re looking for a committed and experienced Finance Business Partner to join us on a fixed-term contract to lead on financial planning, monitoring, and reporting within a school environment. If you bring expertise in this area, excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced setting, we\’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all regular finance processes/tasks are completed consistently and in line with the operating model in place across the Council.
  • Provide accurate financial advice and timely information, identify budget risks, and develop models and tools to link activity to budgets and spending.
  • Ensure robust forecasting and compliance, including training needs identification, adherence to Financial Regulations and Contract Standing Orders, and development of financial systems.

We are looking for:

  • A skilled Finance Business Partner with in-depth knowledge of school funding and local authority financial frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring, supported by a strong track record of delivering results.
