Newport City Council, supported by a threeâyear grant from National Trading Standards, is establishing a new Intellectual Property Investigations Team commencing 1 April 2026. This specialist team will lead civil, criminal and financial investigations into intellectual property crime across England and Wales. This is a unique opportunity to shape a national enforcement team and make a real impact in protecting consumers and businesses. You will be part of a forwardâthinking council committed to innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex civil, criminal and financial investigations into intellectual property breaches.
- Mentor staff to deliver highâquality enforcement outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across public and private sectors.
- Travel across England and Wales and work flexibly, including occasional outâofâhours duties is required.
This post is a threeâyear fixed term contract.
