In this role, you’ll support our nursery chef in preparing fresh, balanced meals and snacks for babies and young children. Your work will help ensure children receive the nutrition they need while maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment. This is a full time, Monday - Friday role.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for babies and children under 5
  • Help with food preparation, serving, and portioning meals
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards
  • Support stock organisation and kitchen supplies
  • Work closely with the nursery team to ensure children receive the best care and nutrition

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working around children and understands the importance of hygiene, nutrition, and teamwork in a nursery environment.

Qualifications
  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience (preferred)
  • Fluent English (essential)
  • A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (preferred – training can be provided)
  • A positive, reliable, and hardworking attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible approach to supporting the kitchen team
  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting children
