Role overview
We’re seeking a proactive and personable Private Patient Coordinator to join our friendly team at Cheshire Oaks, working 25-40 hours per week across 5 weekdays.
Your primary focus will be to grow our private patient base by building strong relationships with local businesses, opticians, and healthcare providers to drive referrals and promote our services.
You will be the face of Newmedica in the community—confidently representing our clinic, identifying new opportunities, and helping us establish a trusted reputation in eye care. If you’re self-motivated, innovative, and enjoy making meaningful connections, we want to hear from you.
Empathy and people skills are essential. Eye surgery can be daunting, so we need someone warm, reassuring, and capable of putting patients at ease. You’ll support patients throughout their journey—booking appointments, managing correspondence, and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced clinic environment.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in dealing with people and a thoughtful, grounded approach to work. If you have a natural ability to connect, reassure, and communicate clearly and confidently, we’d love to hear from you. Reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to make people feel comfortable are key qualities we value in this role.
What skills and experience do I need?
We will provide full training, but the following experience and qualities are advantageous:
- Healthcare or service industry background (beneficial but not essential)
- Previous experience in a customer or patient-facing role
- Confident communicator with a passion for relationship-building and service promotion
- Comfortable handling sensitive conversations and offering reassurance
- Ability to manage admin tasks in a busy setting
- Proficient in Office 365 and quick to learn new systems
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong work ethic
- Experience in customer service and delivering excellent care via phone, written communication, and face-to-face
- Experience managing complaints or challenging situations and providing solutions
- Experience promoting services or building relationships with external partners like opticians or healthcare providers, confidently representing the organization
What we’re offering
- A salary of £26,208.00 (pro-rata based on 40 hours/week)
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- A company pension scheme
- Benefits including free eye tests, discounted or free glasses, 24/7 well-being/counselling services, and retail/technology discounts
- Support for learning and development through various courses and tools
- A friendly, multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving patient lives
- A modern, spacious working environment built to high standards
Our employment offers are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, and a Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for successful applicants, which we will cover.
At Newmedica, we promote diversity and equal opportunities and are committed to safeguarding the welfare of all individuals, regardless of gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion, or social background.
