We’re proud to have been certified as a Great Place to Work for the third year running and listed among the UK’s top 30 Best Workplaces™ for 2026 — recognition that reflects how colleagues feel about working here. Our Purpose is to change lives through better sight and eye health, and our Vision is to end avoidable sight loss in every community we serve; we live our values every day — Commercial, Courageous, Compassion, Collaborative and Curious.

We are looking for a new Private Patient Coordinator to join our Manchester West site. This will be 40 hours over 5 days per week. As a Private Patient Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding, personalised experience for private patients, supporting them from their initial enquiry through to the completion of their treatment pathway. You will ensure that private clinics are set up and managed effectively, with all required administration completed to a high standard and within defined KPIs.

You will act as the named point of contact for private patients, building trusted relationships and ensuring they feel informed, supported and cared for at every stage of their journey. This includes supporting patients before, during and after clinic appointments and treatment, and working closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence in patient care. The role also has a commercial focus, with responsibility for supporting solutions sales within hospital pathways, driving private patient enquiries, and increasing NHS-to-private conversion rates. You will manage incoming enquiries and referrals in a timely manner, provide clear information on available treatment and lens options, and support the growth of private patient activity.

As the central point of contact for all private patient telephone and administrative queries, you will ensure effective communication between patients, clinic staff and external partners, contributing to both an exceptional patient experience and the continued success of the private patient service.

We are looking for someone with a strong customer-focused mindset and a genuine passion for delivering excellent care and service. Experience of working in a healthcare environment, customer service role or administrative position would be advantageous, but is not essential. Experience in a sales-based or target-driven environment would also be beneficial.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a confident, professional and empathetic telephone manner. You will be able to adapt your approach to suit a wide range of people, including patients who may feel anxious or distressed, clinicians, carers and external partners. You will be comfortable managing sensitive conversations and responding to queries, concerns or complaints with tact, diplomacy and kindness.

Strong organisational and administrative skills are essential. You will be able to manage a busy and varied workload, juggle multiple priorities and follow established processes while maintaining attention to detail. You will be confident working with patient information and electronic patient record systems, ensuring data is accurate, up to date and handled appropriately.

You will be able to work effectively independently, using your own initiative, while also knowing when to escalate issues appropriately. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team and be committed to delivering consistently high standards in all areas of your role. You will remain calm under pressure, resilient in challenging situations, and committed to providing a positive experience at every interaction. Finally, you will be IT confident, comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly, thriving in a structured, process-driven clinical environment.

What we’re offering:

  • A salary of up to £30,000/annum depending on experience
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus 1 day birthday leave
  • A company pension scheme
  • Enhanced maternity leave
  • Access to a range of benefits including free eye tests, discounted or free glasses, death in service cover, free access to Headspace and blue light scheme
  • An environment where your learning and development is supported through a range of various learning tools and courses.
  • Working with a friendly multi-disciplinary team passionate about improving the lives of our patients
  • A bright, spacious and modern working environment, built to the highest standards
