We are looking for a new Marketing & Engagement Associate to join our Suffolk team. This is a full-time position working 40 hours over 5 days per week, including the occasional evening and weekend. This role involves supporting the delivery of Newmedica Suffolk’s marketing and engagement strategy, working under the guidance of the Senior Engagement Manager. You will assist with a wide range of activities including referrer engagement, community outreach, digital marketing, and event coordination. The role contributes to strengthening relationships with patients, optometrists, GPs, and the wider community, while enhancing the visibility and accessibility of Newmedica services.

This is a developmental position, providing the opportunity to build knowledge and skills across multiple marketing channels while completing a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, with a willingness to learn and contribute to a dynamic and growing service.

What skills and experience do I need?

  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Existing business insurance on vehicle, or a willingness to update existing insurance to include business use
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above
  • Willingness and eligibility to undertake a Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using social media platforms in a personal, academic, or voluntary capacity
  • Ability to organise and prioritise tasks with guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and willing to learn
  • Professional, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Commitment to completing apprenticeship coursework and off-the-job training
  • Willingness to travel between sites and attend events where required
