Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist – South West, England

Newmedica are one of the leading providers of NHS ophthalmology services in England, providing outpatients appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. We care for thousands of NHS and private patients a year in our specialist eye clinics across the country.

We’re looking for Locum Consultant Ophthalmologists to work in the South-West area. We can offer flexibility with shifts; specifically we are looking for people who can work shifts across the week, including weekdays and/or weekends and both daytime and evening cataract theatre lists. This is a great opportunity to build on your existing experience and to work at Newmedica alongside your existing commitments.

Newmedica services are purpose built to the highest specifications with bright, spacious and modern reception and waiting areas. They are fitted out specifically for ophthalmology, complying with HTMs and meeting CQC standards with high quality clinical areas including an operating theatre, treatment room, recovery areas and consulting rooms with leading diagnostic and ophthalmic equipment.

Experience & Qualifications

• Current GMC Registration and license to practice.
• On Specialist Register.
• Substantial clinical experience undertaking high volume cataract surgery (about 20 patients per session).
