Job Description
As a Finance Manager, the information you provide will deliver insights to support business decisions. You will run the budgeting process for the year ahead, periodic forecasting in line with risks and opportunity reviews, and run the monthly reporting activity to enable reviews with the operational teams. You will also run the pricing and commercial activity with the sales teams in preparation for the review of deals.
The role is suited to a professional with FP&A experience, strong commercial awareness, and a track record of partnering across the business. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders are essential.
The role reports to the FD in the UK, sits alongside the Accounting team based in London, and works closely with the FD based in the US, who is part of Newmark.
Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting and forecasting with the operational teams, ensuring the outlook reflects the business strategy for the short- and mid-term.
- Prepare monthly reporting and variance analysis to the budget/forecast for presentation to leadership.
- Review monthly costs with the business.
- Consolidate quarterly CAPEX spend plans, track the spend, and present the information to the Knotel MD and Newmark CFO.
- Review project spend and revenue in line with commercial proposals, highlighting and working through risks where appropriate.
- Run the monthly financial risks and opportunities process for the leadership team.
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure monthly reporting matches business performance, including cash‑flow review and audit queries.
- Build, manage, and maintain pricing models; carry out pricing as required and present to the MD and FD for review.
- Track commission for brokers and sales teams.
- Lead cost allocation within Knotel.
- Support the FD with commercial analysis of supplier contracts, investments, and other areas requiring analysis.
- Implement and drive process improvements.
Qualifications
Education
- Qualified accountant with FP&A experience.
Experience
- Worked as a finance partner with people in different countries and businesses.
- Led budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risks and opportunities analysis.
- Commercial pricing and financial modelling experience.
Skills
- Effective communication, able to translate financial information into actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Use financial data to guide company strategy and decision‑making.
- Advanced Excel with some modelling experience.
- Project management skills and organizational ability.
