About the Team

Our Building Consultancy team provides technical advice and construction expertise across every stage of the building lifecycle, covering building surveying, dilapidations, schedules of condition, due diligence, project management, and expert witness work.

We advise occupiers, investors, financiers, and developers on building performance, cost in use, future flexibility, and compliance.

Based in our Birmingham office, the team sits within Newmark's wider UK and global platform, giving graduates exposure to a broad range of clients and property types across the Midlands and beyond.

Programme Overview

Newmark’s 2-year graduate real estate programme is the perfect way to kickstart your career in Building Consultancy.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience across multiple disciplined teams, work with senior professionals, and develop the skills and competencies needed to achieve your MRICS qualification through the 2-year cognate APC route.

The Firm’s core hours are from 10.00 a. m. to 4.00 p. m. and you may choose to start and end your day around these hours, provided you still do your 7.25 hours per day (e. g. 8.00 am – 4.30pm, 10.00 am – 6.30 pm).

This position also involves out of hours working on an ‘as necessary’ basis.
