Newmark’s research team supports many aspects of the fee‑generating business through regular and thematic reports and presentations, along with various ad‑hoc internal and client interactions. Outputs cover analysis and forecasts on the structure and performance of occupier and investment markets, with current specialisms in big box logistics, multi‑let industrial and central London offices.
We are seeking an Associate to join the team, based at Newmark’s London office. A key part of the role will be to take supported ownership of Newmark’s research outputs for the UK logistics and multi‑let industrial sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to build on Newmark’s strong reputation in this area. We are market‑leading, particularly in the UK multi‑let segment, which other advisers cannot cover in comparable depth. The initial focus will be on maintaining and developing existing industrial research outputs, with considerable scope to broaden coverage and explore new areas of analysis. The role will involve close collaboration with the Research Partners and colleagues across Agency, Capital Markets, Planning & Development, Valuations and Marketing. As the business continues to expand there will be opportunities to contribute to new and emerging areas of research. For the right candidate there is clear potential for progression.
Main responsibilities:
- Collect and clean data to maintain accurate and consistent I&L databases.
- Conduct quantitative analysis, including forecasts, using Excel and potentially other analytical software (e.g. EViews, PowerBI, mapping platforms).
- Contribute to the communication of research findings through reports, client presentations, press commentary and marketing initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with key Newmark teams, including Agency, Capital Markets, Valuation, Lease Consultancy and Marketing to support wider business objectives.
- Act as a key internal contact for analysis on industrial property, economics and other property‑related information.
Candidate attributes:
- Proven track record within the UK industrial or wider commercial property sector.
- A degree in finance, economics, real estate or related discipline.
- Excellent quantitative skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, commercially focused insights in written reports and presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with PowerBI or mapping software desirable.
- Personable and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams and with clients.
- Highly organised, self‑motivated and curious to learn new skills and analytical techniques.
