Our award-winning Industrial and Logistics team is one of the largest nationwide. We have significant experience in this sector, combined with data gathered from our regular Prime Logistics and Multi-Let research reports. Our work in agency, investment and development is combined with strengths in planning, business rates and lease consultancy to create a full-service offer that is highly valued by leading investors, developers and occupiers.
We are looking for an Associate to join our Industrial Business Rates team. The team covers all types of industrial property, comprising more specialist areas including breweries, large manufacturing plants, defence assets, oil refineries, film studios and chemical works. Alongside this, the team are sector leaders in energy, covering solar, wind, batteries, electricity and gas networks, biomass, gas, nuclear, and are at the forefront of advising clients on newer technologies including hydrogen and carbon capture. Other specialist areas covered by the team are airports and data centres.
You will be offering expert insights on minimising business rates liabilities, as well as being an expert on the complexity of the above sectors, providing advice using the comparable, R&E and CB methods of valuation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, providing high-level advisory services on business rates.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to Newmark's growth and market presence.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of detailed reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborate with other divisions within the firm to provide integrated, multi-disciplinary services to clients.
- Provide strategic rating advice on many nationwide portfolios covering all aspects of rate management, appeal strategy and other non-appeal related rating matters including advice in respect of strategies to minimise empty rate liabilities.
