We are looking for a
Senior Surveyor-level, professionally qualified Valuation Surveyor to join our Manchester team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious surveyor to develop their career within a growing, market-leading platform, working alongside experienced valuation professionals and contributing to the continued expansion of the business.
The successful candidate will undertake a varied range of valuation instructions across multiple asset classes , providing exposure to a broad and interesting client base.
The role will combine technical valuation work with client management, business development and the opportunity to play an active role in the continued growth of the Manchester valuation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake and lead a broad range of commercial and residential property valuations across a variety of asset classes.
- Prepare high-quality valuation reports in accordance with relevant professional standards.
- Provide valuation advice for a range of purposes, including secured lending, financial reporting, acquisition and disposal, portfolio valuation and strategic advice.
- Inspect and assess properties, analysing market evidence, rental and investment data and wider market trends.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, investors, developers and other professional advisers.
- Take responsibility for managing valuation instructions from initial engagement through to completion.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Newmark's wider UK and international business.
- Contribute to the continued development of Newmark's valuation offering in Manchester and the wider North West market.
- Support and develop more junior members of the team, sharing technical knowledge and best practice.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to develop new and existing client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of local, regional and national property markets and communicate relevant market intelligence to clients and colleagues.
The role will provide exposure to a diverse range of property sectors , potentially including:

Essential
- MRICS qualified with relevant post-qualification valuation experience.
- Strong technical valuation skills and a sound understanding of the RICS Red Book.
- Experience across one or more commercial property sectors.
- Strong analytical, report-writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple instructions and deadlines effectively.
- Confident dealing directly with clients and other professional advisers.
- A proactive approach to business development and relationship management.
- Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in the property market.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
