We’re looking for a Student Voice & Communities Co-ordinator to join our team and play a central role in strengthening student activities, wellbeing, and community engagement as we deliver our ambitious 2024–27 Strategy.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be at the heart of our community and wellbeing work, supporting the opportunities that help students connect, belong and thrive.

  • Supporting and developing over 30 student-led societies.
  • Delivering Welcome Week, events and student-led initiatives.
  • Promoting student activities, wellbeing initiatives and opportunities.
  • Supporting students to create new societies, projects and initiatives.
  • Building a strong partnership with the Newman Sports Centre to expand recreational opportunities.
  • Ensuring activities are inclusive, well‑resourced and compliant.
  • Working with Officers and University colleagues to increase participation and engagement.

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need direct Students’ Union experience — just enthusiasm, initiative, and a passion for student community. We’re particularly looking for someone with:

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in administration, co‑ordination or events.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and build effective relationships.
  • A genuine interest in student activities, wellbeing and community building.
