Our client is a substantial operator of critical industrial assets across the UK and Ireland. With a broad operational portfolio and a strong focus on safety, reliability and long-term asset value, the business is seeking an experienced Portfolio Commercial Lead to strengthen commercial governance and supplier performance across its operations.
The Role
This is a senior, portfolio-wide role providing commercial leadership, governance and assurance across operational contracts, strategic supplier relationships, lease and property agreements, stores governance and associated improvement programmes.
You will own the post-award commercial management of key contracts, ensuring obligations, KPIs, SLAs, risks, opportunities and change mechanisms are visible and actively managed. Working closely with operational leaders and colleagues across Procurement, Finance, Legal, Asset Management and Engineering, you will provide robust commercial challenge, lead supplier performance reviews and support the effective resolution of claims, variations and disputes.
You will also lead renewal and expiry planning from an operational-commercial perspective, oversee lease, land and property obligations, support stores and inventory improvement programmes, and coordinate commercial input into insurance-related matters. The focus throughout will be on protecting continuity and asset value, improving performance and securing measurable value across the portfolio.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in contract management, supplier performance, commercial negotiation and dispute resolution within an industrial, engineering, maintenance or operational environment. You will understand procurement and contract administration, be confident assessing technical, contractual and operational risk, and have the credibility to influence stakeholders across multiple sites and functions. Experience within power generation, utilities, process manufacturing or heavy industry would be particularly advantageous, as would exposure to property and lease matters, stores governance or inventory optimisation.
