A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join a growing owner-managed business operating within the e-commerce, trade and consumer products sector. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment supplying kitchen appliances across multiple online channels including Amazon, Ebay and direct website sales, alongside a growing trade division.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of monthly management accounts and full P&L reporting
- Creation of channel profitability reporting across Amazon, Ebay, website and trade sales
- Gross profit and contribution reporting by customer, product and sales channel
- Developing operational sales and margin reporting for account managers
- Producing back order and operational performance reporting
- Weekly cashflow forecasting and treasury management
- Supporting repayment scheduling of foreign loans
- Full balance sheet reconciliation and controls management
- Working closely with auditors across trading and holding entities
- Building and improving finance controls, credit procedures and accounts receivable structures
- Business partnering with senior management and operational teams
- Ensuring operational systems and finance systems remain aligned
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience within a product-led, e-commerce, wholesale, retail or distribution environment
- Strong management accounts and commercial reporting experience
- Exposure to Amazon, Ebay, multi-channel or online trading environments beneficial
- Experience within stock/inventory-led businesses
- Strong cashflow forecasting and operational finance experience
- ERP/system experience (Orderwise, Sage, SAP, Business Central or similar advantageous)
- Hands-on SME mentality with a commercially proactive approach
