The Role

To support the Quality and Technical Services teams in ensuring the quality and safety of goods that enter and leave the business, whilst maintaining the legal and technical foundations of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administration of technical certificates: Analysis, Conformity and Product of Animal Origin.
  • Coordinate and manage the process of generating commercial invoices.
  • Resolution of any queries from the hauliers / customs clearance agents regarding the information needed to ensure a smooth export of goods.
  • Coordinate and manage the generation of other customer specific documentation with relation to all export information required for the customer’s specific products.
  • Liaise with Supply Chain department (Purchasing, Customer Services and Transport Planning teams) to ensure that all the information is correct as it is being used to complete legal documentation.
  • Maintain all logs of information to ensure full traceability of information is maintained.
  • Assist with customer complaints including logging, updating and collating information.
  • Providing cover for other members of the team including NPD Quality Technologist.
  • Support the successful completion of BRC accreditation and upkeep of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Person Specification

  • Experience of working in a quality or production administration position would be ideal; food manufacturing experience in general would be beneficial.
  • Good standard of education, ideally, with relevant qualifications e.g. food safety, auditing.
  • An understanding of the importance of accuracy and the need to work to the highest standards.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Exposure to/understanding of HACCP.
  • Experience of managing systems both internet and PC based.
