Newly Weds® Foods Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced QA Co-ordinator to be a key member of the site Quality team. Taking a leading role maintaining site food safety and quality systems as well as answering customer queries.

Newly Weds® Foods is a leading privately-owned global food ingredients business. The European division is rapidly growing and is a market leader in the manufacture of food coatings, seasonings and functional ingredient systems.

The Ossett site manufactures food coatings systems, dry seasoning blends, bread crumbs and rusk products. The site is a real success story and the team consistently deliver significant growth year on year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Code of Practice and product protection practices are followed at all times.
  • Assist the Quality Supervisor in the investigation and closure of customer complaints.
  • Review and assist in the closure of outstanding corrective actions arising from complaints and audits of the Ossett Factory.
  • Assist in the evaluation of all WIP, evaluating for rework, recommending dispositions and amending works orders as required.
  • Provide cover for QA technician absence.
  • Evaluation of raw materials and products for shelf life extension.
  • Carry out specific audits of production areas to evaluate the effectiveness of previous corrective actions.
  • Carry out regular GMP and Glass audits of the factory.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of microbiological analysis and other external analysis via a third party contract.
  • Carry out environmental swabbing of the factory and equipment.
  • Assist in the management of the laboratory and factory equipment calibration systems.
  • Handle and expedite customer queries relating to certificates of analysis.
  • Act as a deputy for the Quality Supervisor and Senior Quality Manager as appropriate.
  • To achieve targeted outputs specific to your role.
  • To provide training where applicable to NWF Personnel.
  • Maintain as required all necessary records relating to the above.
  • To be flexible and provide cover if required and during any periods of planned overtime.
  • To undertake such training as is viewed necessary by the company to improve personal performance or to meet the overall business objectives.
