Today, Newly Weds® Foods is a world leader in food ingredient technology.

A network of R&D, manufacturing and service facilities around the globe allows us to serve our customers’ needs in more than 68 countries.

But despite our size and scope, we’ve continued to be an independent, family‑owned business answerable only to the demands of our customers.

That’s why we continue to invest in infrastructure, human resources and capacity to keep pace with our customers’ needs and expectations.

The Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive supplychain Admin to join our planning team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract.

This role will be key in coordinating production schedules, resources and materials to support efficient manufacturing operations and ensure customer requirements are met on time, in full and within specification.

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, the Supplychain admin will manage, develop and coordinate available plant and material resources to deliver effective and efficient production outputs.

The role will focus on safety, hygiene, cost, quality and quantity, while supporting continuous improvement through strong cross‑functional communication and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create accurate daily production schedules using work order information, customer service updates and Unity data.
  • Maximise plant running hours, production throughput and yield while minimising downtime.
  • Maintain and update scheduling information including machine speeds, efficiencies, batch times and allergen segregation.
  • Create and manage rework plans to ensure product is reintroduced into the process promptly and floor stock is controlled.
  • Identify scheduling, stock or production issues and re‑plan activity to ensure customer needs continue to be met.
  • Work closely with production management to identify waste, improve processes and support continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and follow up scheduled clean‑down processes.
  • Attend daily and weekly update meetings with production teams and the Purchasing Department.
  • Maintain regular communication with QC, Customer Service, Sales and Production teams, ensuring priorities, changes and issues are clearly communicated.
  • Liaise with the Technical Department to support the organisation and scheduling of production trials.
  • Use Unity and scheduling spreadsheets accurately, resolving issues with IT where required and ensuring reports reflect daily schedule conformance.
  • Provide role cover and training support to colleagues where required.
  • Support stock counts and carry out general duties in line with Good Manufacturing Practice and product protection standards.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience working within an FMCG manufacturing environment is essential; food manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience working with multiple SKUs and production scheduling requirements.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, inventory management principles and production planning processes.
  • Confident analysing data and using information to make effective planning decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across Production, Customer Service, QC, Technical, Purchasing and IT teams.
