The Role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Operational & Administration Support Manager to lead our cross‑functional administration team and support the smooth running of our operations. This is a key role within the business, responsible for ensuring high-quality administrative support, coordinating operational reporting, and delivering engaging company events. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Operations and Finance, playing a critical role in maintaining efficient processes, supporting decision‑making, and ensuring compliance with reporting and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the cross‑functional administration team, ensuring effective support across the business and adequate cover at all times.
  • Analyse and collate operational data, producing accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production reports in collaboration with Finance and Operations.
  • Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of company events and activities throughout the year.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Plant Manager and wider Operations leadership team.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and resolve invoice queries efficiently.
  • Oversee stock write‑off submissions and consignment stock management in line with agreed budgets.
  • Coordinate and manage the submission of operational corporate reports, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Organise and support operational meetings, including agendas, presentations, and accurate minute‑taking.
  • Manage Barclaycard expense submissions and reconciliation processes.
  • Oversee production uniform provisioning and stock control.
  • Coordinate corporate operational audits and ensure timely completion and submission.
  • Support health, safety, and environmental (HSE) processes, including meeting attendance and documentation.
  • Travel to other UK site may be required.
  • Arrange training sessions (e.g., First Aid, Fire Marshal) and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide cross‑functional support when required, including reception cover and travel coordination.
  • Maintain the upkeep of the Operations office and reception areas.
  • Liaise with internal teams to coordinate site tours for customers and new employees.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within an administrative or operational environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in administration and reception‑based roles.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Experience in event planning is desirable but not essential.
