The Ossett site manufactures food coatings systems, dry seasoning blends, bread crumbs and rusk products. Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Leadhand to oversee daily operations within our team reporting to the shift Supervisor. The Lead Hand will play a crucial role in ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and be able to motivate and guide team members effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of team members to ensure productivity and adherence to safety standards.
  • Train new employees on operational procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor workflow and make adjustments as necessary to meet production goals.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
