The Role
We are looking for a hands‑on Team Leader to support the Gluten Free Blend Supervisor and help drive performance, quality, and safety across the department. This is a working Team Leader position, perfect for someone who wants to develop their leadership skills while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the team to achieve production output and quality targets
- Promote and enforce high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety
- Ensure all documentation, systems, and records are completed accurately and on time
- Train, coach, and develop team members to improve performance and capability
- Take full responsibility for the shift in the absence of the Supervisor
- Act as a role model on the shop floor, driving best practices and team engagement
Person Specification
- Previous experience within food manufacturing (FMCG environment preferred)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and delegate effectively
- Working knowledge of Unity systems
- Valid Reach Truck, Counterbalance, and PPT licences
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards
- Proactive, hands‑on approach with a willingness to lead from the front
