Newlon Housing Trust is a successful charitable housing association and one of the major providers of new affordable housing in north and east London. We have an opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join us and effectively and professionally deliver Latent Defects Projects, with a focus on cladding and fire safety.
With an emphasis on technical proficiency, project management and stakeholder collaboration, you will ensure compliance and quality, and will provide an excellent frontline customer service by working to ensure customers' needs are met and team/departmental objectives are achieved. You will also be required to provide regular out of hours meeting updates to residents and stakeholders which will require some evening and weekend working.
With a degree or NVQ, or equivalent, in Building Surveying, Building Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, you will hold Chartered Status with RICS, CIOB or an equivalent professional body. A comprehensive understanding of cladding systems, fire safety standards and building regulations for residential accommodation is essential, along with demonstrated expertise in conducting structural surveys and overseeing multi-disciplinary teams for complex construction or remediation projects.
You will have advanced project management skills and ideally hold fire safety-specific certifications and/or a building control qualification.

You'll also be working out of purpose-built offices that form part of the award-winning Hale Village regeneration project, and are situated just two minutes' walk from the major transport interchange at Tottenham Hale.
Salary: £58,417 per annum plus the opportunity to earn Performance Related bonus. Contract: Full-time, permanent.
