Salary: £26,032 per annum

Hours: 37.5 (5 in 7 days - Sunday to Saturday)

Our campaigns help to give disabled children and their families a voice, even being instrumental in changing laws to benefit the families we serve. We also support adults with additional needs with volunteering and employment opportunities, providing a means for career development.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Store Manager / Team Leader looking for their next progression to make a real difference. The Deputy Store Manager role in Newlife is unique; it allows you to create the extraordinary by driving sales in your store to generate money to support disabled children and their families. No two days are the same, and due to the nature of the business, the product type can quickly change, so you have to be a fast thinker and swift on your feet to change the layout and merchandising to drive sales.

The organisation culture is based on a clear Mission, Vision and Values (MVV) which you will drive throughout your team by role modelling the behaviours at all times. We expect the Deputy Store Manager to take personal ownership for developing and supporting the culture in their store which is reflective of the MVV. As an experienced retail manager, you will be motivated by results and have the drive for continuous improvement. What we are looking for:

  • You must be commercially minded, people orientated, and deliver operational excellence, putting the customer at the centre of everything.
  • You will need to have previous retail management experience and be able to work alongside and operate effectively with the Store Manager and store team.
  • You will maximise retail sales and profit through the effective day-to-day management of a sales team that will be made up of both paid employees and volunteers.
  • You should live and breathe KPIs, using your creative skills and imagination to merchandise the product to a high standard, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • You will also need to be flexible in your approach to work to cover additional hours where required and be willing to cover at other Newlife stores on occasion to meet the needs of the business.
