We’re on the lookout for a public affairs specialist to help strengthen our relationships with decision makers and opinion formers, including MPs, think tanks, and stakeholder organisations by informing our campaign and media activity as we strive to Build a Fairer Newham.
In this brand-new role in our newly restructured Communications, Policy and Impact directorate, you will support the Council in navigating the different levels of government to advocate for the needs of the local community in Newham, gain support for local initiatives, and get the best deal for Newham’s residents wherever possible.
We are looking for candidates with a passion for public affairs and politics, adept at horizon scanning and supporting the delivery of compelling information which will persuade and influence senior colleagues, and understand the strategic context to ensure public affairs and partnership activity is positioned effectively.
