The London Borough of Newham\’s Private Sector Housing Service is at the forefront of regulating the private rented sector through borough-wide property licensing schemes. We aim to protect tenants and landlords by deterring criminal landlords. We are seeking creative, enthusiastic, and professional individuals to enhance our schemes. We offer flexible working arrangements, training opportunities, and a relocation package of up to £7000* for eligible candidates.
Newham is located 5 miles east of London, with excellent transport links including the London Underground, Overground, DLR, buses, and the Elizabeth Line.
About the Job
The Compliance Officer will inspect private rented dwellings to ensure license conditions are met, assess management standards, and identify housing disrepair. The role involves conducting inspections within strict deadlines, focusing on customer service, detecting criminal activity, gathering evidence, and improving housing standards.
Applicants must have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
About You
