As a member of the Assurance and Compliance team in the Housing Needs Temporary Accommodation Service, you will lead a team responsible for managing contracts with temporary accommodation providers and ensuring services meet contractual, legislative and quality standards. You will oversee performance, compliance, inspections and complaints, and deputise for the Contract and Compliance Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10 officers
- Contract manage temporary accommodation suppliers
- Carry out and oversee property inspections and compliance checks
- Validate health and safety certification (gas, electrical, EPC, fire safety)
- Investigate property condition complaints, including disrepair
- Monitor performance and produce reports for senior stakeholders
- Engage with residents, managing agents, councillors and partners

You will have strong experience in housing, contract management and compliance, ideally within a local authority or similar environment.
You will bring:
- Knowledge of homelessness legislation and temporary accommodation
- Understanding of building regulations and health & safety compliance
- Proven leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience of inspections, supplier management and performance monitoring
