Newham is hiring Educational Psychologists to deliver evidence‐based, high quality psychological services to children, young people and their families. The role involves integrated working, providing assessments, interventions and consultation in mainstream and special education settings, colleges, child development services and universities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out psychological assessments and develop early intervention strategies.
- Provide therapeutic techniques and systemic consultation to support children's wellbeing.
- Contribute to team development through emotion coaching, ELSA training, reflective supervision, trauma‐informed practice and strategic support such as EBSA and critical incident support.
- Deliver targeted interventions and support to children, young people and families across Newham.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professionally qualified with HCPC registration, or in year 2 or 3 of a recognised training course.
- Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- Experience or training in psychological assessment, early interventions, and therapeutic consultation.
- Familiarity with SEND and inclusive practice preferred.
- Full or part‐time (at least 0.6 FTE) availability considered.
