We are currently recruiting a qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our Foundation learning team on a fixed term basis. Our department delivers a range of courses that support learners with SEND to develop skills including independent living skills, communication, personal development, employability, and enterprise. A commitment to working with young people/adults with additional support needs underpins all aspects of our work. The person will be required to deliver the curriculum effectively through a variety of different learning strategies, communicating effectively with students as appropriate and providing them with appropriate tutorial support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, creative, and inclusive teaching tailored to SEND learners.
- Develop and implement schemes of learning, lesson plans, and resources.
- Act as a course tutor, tracking and supporting student progress.
- Contribute to course development, reviews, and quality improvement.
- Support learners with progression pathways and employability skills.
- Promote positive behaviour and safeguarding at all times.

The salary for this position is inclusive of London weighting. Please note that we advertise our salaries on a range to indicate the trajectory of progression that can be made. Qualifications
- A recognised Level 5 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one within 2 years).
- Minimum Level 2 in English & Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or above).
- Recent experience teaching learners with SEND, including those with complex needs.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and equality of opportunity.
