The Role;
Newham College is seeking to appointTeaching and Learning Coachto join our Teaching, Learning and Improvement Team. Key responsibilities;
- Deliver high-quality coaching and professional development to teaching and curriculum staff.
- Support the design and delivery of evidence-based training programmes to improve teaching, learning and assessment.
- Work closely with managers and staff to identify development needs and provide targeted support.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of coaching to ensure measurable improvement in teaching practice.
- Contribute to quality assurance activities such as learning walks, deep dives and lesson visits.
- Support staff in integrating digital tools and AI into teaching practice.
- Act as a role model for excellence in teaching and a champion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Lead on aspects of CPD, including delivery of sessions for new teachers and teacher training programmes
Our Ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience.
- A recognised teaching qualification (Essential)
- A degree in any subject
- Demonstrable experience of improving learner outcomes through high-quality teaching and staff development.
- Experience in curriculum innovation, assessment design and effective feedback strategies.
- A proven track record of delivering impactful professional development and/or coaching.
- Strong understanding of Ofsteds Education Inspection Framework and experience of contributing to inspection preparation.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Competence in using digital learning platforms, AI tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and upholding the Colleges values and teaching standards.
