Newham College is seeking a dynamic Head of Faculty for English and Maths to lead the development and delivery of high-quality English and Maths provision for our 16-18 study programmes. This is a cross-college role, offering you the platform to make a significant difference across all our centres.
What Youll Be Doing:
Develop and lead the college-wide English and Maths strategy in collaboration with senior leaders.
Inspire and support teaching staff to achieve consistently high-quality teaching and learning.
Use robust systems to monitor learner progress and rapidly intervene where needed.
Promote a strong culture of literacy and numeracy through engaging programmes and initiatives.
Manage faculty performance, staffing, and budgets to meet or exceed college KPIs.
Foster partnerships with universities, employers, and community stakeholders.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation in English and Maths delivery.

A degree or substantial experience in English/Maths education, with a full teaching qualification.
Significant experience in post-16 curriculum leadership with a strong track record of improving learner outcomes.
Proven success in leading teams, managing resources, and delivering against strategic targets.
