You will teach, tutor, and support learners on the SEMH provision, working closely with small groups. Most learners will have an EHCP and primary SEMH needs, often alongside additional challenges such as autism, ADHD, or other neurodiverse conditions. Many have faced disrupted education, barriers to learning, or previous alternative placements, and some may initially struggle to engage or demonstrate challenging behaviours. You will deliver English, maths and tutorial alongside sessions that develop personal, social, and study skills, and facilitate project-based learning that taps into learners' interests, builds independence, and develops skills for adulthood and next steps. You will also lead enrichment activities that foster confidence, participation, and a sense of achievement. The postholder will set high expectations, build trusting and supportive relationships, and design lessons that are engaging, meaningful, and responsive to the strengths, needs, and aspirations of each learner. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to ensure learners are motivated, supported, and able to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally
