Newham College London, now merged with NewVIc Sixth Form College, is the largest post-16 education provider in Newham. With campuses in East Ham, Stratford, Plaistow, and the London City Institute of Technology (LCIoT) in Canning Town, we serve over 11,000 students across a range of pathways – including 16–18 study, adult education, apprenticeships, and higher education. We are looking for a creative, organised and proactive Graphic Designer to join our Marketing and Communications team. Working as part of a wider collaborative marketing function, you will support the development and delivery of high-quality visual content across digital and print media, helping strengthen learner recruitment, engagement and the College’s wider brand and reputation.
You will take ownership of a broad range of design projects, producing creative assets for campaigns, publications, social media, events, websites and promotional activity. The role will also support the ongoing development and consistency of the College’s visual identity across all channels.
The role is offered on a Full-time basis, 36 hours per week, over 5 days based at East Ham, with regular travel to other campuses where required.
- Develop engaging creative content across digital and print media
- Support and maintain the College’s visual brand identity across all platforms
- Create content tailored to a wide range of audiences, including young people, adult learners, employers and parents
- Support social media and website content, including photography, video and rich media
- Manage multiple design projects and production schedules effectively
- Maintain and organise visual assets and creative resources
Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital and print design work. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite professionally. Strong understanding of branding, visual communication and audience engagement. Ability to create engaging visual content including photography, video and digital media. Creative thinking, attention to detail and a proactive approach.
