At Newham College, we’re looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Hourly Paid Maths Lecturers, teaching up to GCSE level. As a Maths Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students from diverse backgrounds. Through your expertise and innovative teaching strategies, you’ll foster a positive learning environment that supports students in achieving their GCSE qualifications and building confidence in their mathematical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging Maths lessons to 16-18-year-old students, spanning functional skills to GCSE.
Contribute to a well-resourced and collaborative department with outstanding support.
Embrace our carefully planned curriculum and foster an environment where students can excel.

What We Are Looking For:

A full teaching qualification PGCE, or equivalent.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting learners to achieve their goals.
Proven experience as a confident classroom practitioner in formal educational settings.
A passion for mathematics and education, with a drive to make a positive impact on students’ lives.
The ability to inspire and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of ability.
