We are currently recruiting for a Senior Employment Advisor to join our dedicated team in Colne. In this new role you will play a key role in leading funded employability projects, supporting community members to become work-ready and find sustainable employment. You will work closely with Job Centre Plus, local employers, training providers, and other partners to deliver tailored support and create opportunities for participants. By engaging with local businesses, you'll identify work experience placements and job vacancies that match participants' skills and goals, ensuring successful outcomes and the achievement of project targets. This role is essential in driving positive change and enhancing employability within the community.

Requirements
- You will have your own case load of clients with the primary objective to move clients into work and achieve sustained employment.
- Manage staff working hours / holidays and rotas.
- Cover staff sickness / holidays.
- Hold fortnightly meetings for your team; discuss contract targets, performance and future planning.
- Implement effective approaches which will help our clients develop confidence, overcome barriers and achieve successful transitions.
- Promote our employability offer to Housing staff, partner agencies and local businesses.
- Retain client's engagement and encourage them to participate in workshops, job clubs and 1:1's to raise aspirations, challenge them emotionally enabling them to reach their full potential.
- Organise and lead on events to promote our employability offer.
- Keep detailed records of referrals, advice, actions and outcomes.
- Provide support and signpost customers to relevant organizations.
- To undertake visits and meetings out of hours as and when required.
- Work with the Communications Team to produce publicity relating to employment and training programmes, especially in respect of good news stories.
- Identify and harness local, regional and national initiatives that deliver new opportunities access employment/training opportunities.
- Deliver group training to develop participants towards employability.
- Build and maintain strong links and working relationships with relevant statutory and non-statutory organisations.
- Develop working relationships with other professionals working in the field of employment, welfare and training sector.
- Attend and participate in relevant forums and networks.
- Engage with local business and employers to understand business needs and promote our client base and services.
- Attend best practice sessions with funded partners to promote and harness relationships.
- Responsible for maintaining a referral and tracking system that will provide statistical information on performance to contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the programmes.
- Maintain detailed electronic case records and administrative systems in line with Data Protection requirements for both internal and external funders.
- Demonstrate effective caseload management, achievement of targets, objectives and evidence impact through effective and accurate recording, providing regular reports to the Community Programmes Coordinator.
- Produce and update marketing materials.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A full UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
- At least 2 years' experience of working with adults 16-65 years old engaging them in employment programmes and getting them into work.
- The ability to develop positive professional working relationships with people facing multiple issues.
- Experience of developing and delivering needs led interventions including programmes of training and employability.
- Experience of networking and partnership working with local partners and services from statutory, voluntary and private sectors.
- Experience of working to agreed targets, objectives and goals.
- Experience of developing and implementing innovative practice using initiative and judgement.
- Understanding the pressures and challenges individuals face in seeking work and accessing training to secure and sustain employment.
- Ability to produce letters and reports.
In return we are offering the successful candidate in the Senior Employment Advisor role:
- Starting salary of £30,000.
- Annual pay scale increase.
- 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays.

- You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.
