We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Youth Worker to join our dedicated team on a part-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will lead youth-focused projects and initiatives aimed at engaging young people, promoting their development, and supporting positive outcomes. You will oversee youth programs, manage a team of youth workers, and work closely with partners to create safe, inclusive, and inspiring environments for young people aged 8-18 years. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people within our communities, and will be part of an exciting period of growth as we launch a new youth hub, with this role forming part of the new team helping to shape and develop this provision.

Please note that this is a permanent, part-time position consisting of 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate youth work projects, ensuring they meet strategic objectives and community needs.
- Plan and deliver high-quality programmes and interventions for young people, families, and communities based on local need.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders including schools, police, health services, and community organisations.
- Engage young people and communities, ensuring activities are inclusive and encourage participation from diverse groups.
- Oversee volunteer recruitment, support, and development across projects.
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance standards are consistently met.
- Monitor and evaluate delivery, ensuring targets, outcomes, and impact are achieved and recorded.
- Contribute to reporting, funding requirements, and the effective use of project budgets.
- Support the safe and effective management of community sites and delivery spaces.
- Proven experience in youth work.
- A relevant qualification in youth work, community development, or willingness to work towards this.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practices.
- Experience working with diverse groups of young people, including those facing multiple barriers.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred.

- Salary: £33,876.07 (pro‑rate)
- 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays (pro‑rate)
