We are looking for a highly organised and creative Social Media Manager to join the NewGen social media management team. The Social Media Manager is responsible for high profile client social media accounts. Managing and building calendars, planning and executing social media strategies as well as supporting across large-scale social media activations across key beats throughout the year, the ideal candidate will be a seasoned social professional with proven expertise in building and engaging social audiences for large brands.
Main responsibilities
- Calendar management
- Manage the content calendar across several social media accounts
- Create detailed briefs for the content creation and studio teams
- Ensure content is placed in the review cycle in a timely manner
- Ensure all social deliverables are met with each of your clients
- Content ideation
- Lead the ideation process to build a calendar; pulling together team members for creative sessions to generate ideas based on client playbooks and writing up all ideas
- Monitor trends across social and present ideas based off these trends to the client
- Content Creation, Reviewing & Scheduling
- Review content from content and studio teams - question every piece of content and ask is this the best it possibly can be. If not, provide feedback
- Ensure all content going out on a page aligns with platform best practice as well as the client expectations and strategy
- When required, create text, image and text based content for use across client socials
- When required, support the content team with short-form video creation
- Attend shoots to lead from a social media perspective working closely with the content, studio and accounts teams
- Community manage when required, & support junior team members in doing so
- Reporting and Strategy
- Lead on pulling together of reports with the support of junior team members and the data team
- Pull action from insight and ensure learnings from our reports are applied in content
- Attend creative meetings for your clients and ensure you are bringing good social ideas that make sense for the strategy and for the platforms
- Support on social playbook building using client tone of voice documents and your social understanding
- Support the strategy and new business teams on social aspects of pitches & ongoing social strategies
