We are looking for a creatively driven Social Creative to join the NewGen social team. This role is focused on developing strong, platform-first social concepts for high-profile client accounts, shaping ideas that translate into engaging, culturally relevant content. You’ll play a key role in building social calendars, responding to trends, and contributing to large-scale social activations across key moments in the year. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of social platforms, proven experience coming up with ideas that perform, and the ability to turn insights into clear, compelling concepts for brands and creators to execute.
Creative Ideation & Insight
- Own the generation of social-first ideas across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
- Use cultural insights, platform behaviour, and audience data to spark highly relevant ideas that fit the brand, the moment, and the brief.
- Monitor trends daily (formats, sounds, memes, behaviour shifts) and proactively surface opportunities for brands to join conversations in a smart, strategic way.
- Lead brainstorms and rapid-response ideation sessions, ensuring the output is insight-driven, on-brand and platform-native.
- Translate social insights into simple, actionable creative directions.
Content Development & Execution
- Develop creative concepts into tangible pieces of content: Work closely with studio/content teams to bring ideas to life.
- Review all outgoing creative with a creative eye pushing for thumb-stopping, best-in-class execution every time.
- When needed, create content yourself (copy, images, lo-fi edits, TikTok-style executions, memes, static design direction).
- Attend shoots to give social-first direction, ensuring content maps to platform behaviour and is maximised for edits, versions and hooks.
- Write platform-native copy and contribute to edit notes, hooks, caption variations and alt text where relevant.
Community Management
- Actively manage communities across platforms with an understanding of tone, sub-cultures and conversation drivers.
- Spot high-potential comments/threads and turn them into content opportunities.
- Keep a pulse on how the audience is responding to content and feed that insight back into creative.
Strategy & Collaboration
- Input into social strategies, campaign playbooks and tone-of-voice docs through a creative lens.
- Bring smart, platform-aware ideas to client creative meetings, strategy sessions and campaign planning.
- Support new business responses with social creative ideas, rapid concepts, decks and cultural insight.
- Work closely with account managers, strategy and studio teams to ensure creative excellence at every stage.
