The Role

Join our world-class social video teams that edit content for the biggest creators and brands in the world. Our Social Publishing department speaks to tens of millions of people every single day through our social content.

You will be responsible for creating fast-paced social videos through transforming longer-form content into edits that are more suited to a variety of platforms. Working in a team alongside other social video editors, social media managers and project leads.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Repurpose existing creator and brand assets into enticing video content suited for various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and Spotify.
  • Source and incorporate music, sound effects, motion graphics, and subtitles when needed.
  • Ideate and collaborate with the wider-team at NewGen to bring creative concepts to life.
  • Ensure all video content meets brand and style guidelines.
  • Keep up to date with platform algorithms and apply any necessary iterations to video content.
  • Integrate insight into action through applying video editing techniques that keep audiences enticed throughout.
  • Keep a consistent level of video output whilst ensuring quality remains at the forefront of all edits.

Requirements

  • 1 year minimum in a social video editing role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of video editing softwares including Adobe Suite.
  • Mid-level animation skills including keyframing and subtitling.
  • Previous experience in working directly with creators.
  • A strong understanding of the creator economy landscape.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Google Suite, including Slides, Docs and Sheets.
  • Understanding of social media management tools such as Meta Business Suite, Snapchat Story Studio, Twitter Media Studio & YouTube Studio.
  • 36 days holiday per year, including a 10-day block \”reset\”, Christmas closure and birthday day off.
