The Impact You’ll Make

In this role, you’ll not only help keep our gardens vibrant and healthy—you’ll also play a key part in supporting and mentoring people with learning difficulties and disabilities as they work alongside you.

Your patience, encouragement, and practical skills will help them gain confidence, learn new abilities, and take pride in their contributions to the gardens we care for.

  • What You’ll Do
  • Lead the team: Carry out regular garden maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, weeding, and seasonal tasks.
  • Operate and maintain tools and machinery safely, modelling best practice for others.
  • Work alongside individuals with learning difficulties and disabilities, offering guidance, encouragement, and hands‑on training in horticultural tasks.
  • Adapt tasks to suit different abilities, ensuring everyone can participate meaningfully, safeguarding the clients and report any issues.
  • Transportation in the van; a clean driving licence is essential.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe working environment for all team members.
