Job Title: School Office Manager
Location: Northampton / Milton Keynes
Start Date: September / October
Type: 12 Weeks Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: Β£15 β Β£20 per hour (depending on experience)
We are seeking School Office Managers to join schools across Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Northampton, and Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced administrators looking to step into a leadership role or for existing office managers seeking a new challenge in a rewarding school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily operations of the school office
- Supervising and supporting administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Acting as the main point of contact for staff, parents, and external stakeholders
- Handling correspondence, telephone calls, and enquiries professionally
- Overseeing admissions, attendance, and pupil records
- Managing office budgets, invoices, and general financial administration
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and health & safety procedures
- Supporting the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team with administrative needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in a school office manager role (or senior administrator role within education)
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office; SIMS/Arbor experience desirable)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Professional, approachable, and highly reliable
- Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
