Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client β a leading independent supply chain company with locations across the globe, based in Hayes. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and previous experience working within Air Freight / Cargo based Warehouse role.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off β 7:00am to 7:00pm
Salary: Β£30k per annum
The Job Duties Involve:
- Operate a Forklift (counterbalance) to move goods around the warehouse.
- Handle warehouse stock, including picking, unloading, labelling, and storing.
- Perform inventory control and maintain high-quality standards for audits.
- Ensure safe operations and comply with HSE, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Achieve timely output with minimal cost.
- Promote use of IT tools like the FCL Dashboard.
- Provide regular feedback to Warehouse Supervisors and Managers.
- Foster teamwork and a positive βcan-doβ attitude.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assume Warehouse Supervisor duties in their absence, as directed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and business performance.
- Meet personal and team objectives set during appraisals.
- Follow all relevant policies and procedures for the role.
To be considered for this role you must have / be:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- Strong knowledge of Air Freight / Cargo.
- Previous experience within air freight / cargo based warehouse operative role.
- A reliable, hands-on approach and the ability to work well in a team.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Physically fit.
- Computer literate.
- Fluent English speaking, reading and writing.
- Able to work on a 4 on 4 off basis doing 12-hour shifts.
