Newent Community School and Sixth Form Centre

We are looking to appoint a suitable candidate to work in the Catering Department to support the school's food service to students and staff within the Dining Hall. The successful candidate will be required to work 20 hours a week, term time only. The hours of work are fixed at 10:30am to 2:30pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Accept cashless payment operating a till
  • Prepare counters and dining areas for service
  • Preparation and setting out of condiments
  • Replenishing of counters
  • Clean and fill vending machines
  • Clearing and cleaning of counters and service equipment after service
  • Clearing and clearing of tables
  • Cleaning and clearing of food production areas
  • Assist with the preparation and cooking of meals following menus and recipes under the direction of the Catering Manager
  • Baking cakes and biscuits
  • Shutting down kitchen in the absence of the Catering Manager
  • Greet all students and staff helpfully and courteously
