Your Role & Team in a Nutshell
As a Category Manager, Insights & Analytics, you will be a key strategic partner to our International Marketing and Go-To-Market teams. You'll transform data into compelling stories that drive category growth across various categories: labelling (DYMO), writing (Sharpie, Paper Mate, Parker), with a focus on the baby category (NUK, Baby Jogger). You'll collaborate cross-functionally and use syndicated data, shopper and consumer insights, category and industry trends to support business decisions with actionable insights.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Category Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert for assigned categories, providing hands-on support to Brand Management. Deliver data-driven insights to inform growth plans across brands, channels, and categories. Lead the use of syndicated data to support the development and execution of brand and marketing strategies. Identify and communicate category trends and business opportunities using category management principles.
- Reporting & Data Analytics: Serve as the internal primary contact for all datasets related to your category. Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to generate actionable, fact-based recommendations. Provide strategic direction using insights from syndicated data and e-commerce platforms.
- Consumer & Shopper Insights: Interpret and synthesise data from various sources (e.g., shopper research, POS, loyalty card data) into meaningful insights. Apply shopper and consumer understanding to optimise category assortments, product adjacencies, and cross-merchandising opportunities.
- Business Analytics: Support marketing plans with insights on pricing, promotions, NPD, and forecasting. Contribute to channel and portfolio strategy development through data analysis.
- Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Coordinate with subject matter experts and prioritise tasks effectively.
What You'll Need Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, statistics, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in Category Management, Business Analytics, or client-facing insights roles in either retail, CPG or FMCG sector.
- Proficiency in syndicated data tools (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, GfK).
- Strong analytical skills and advanced in MS Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI, or similar software.
- Willing to travel domestically 10-20% of the time.
