Your Key Responsibilities
- Customs Data Analysis: Collect and consolidate monthly import and export data from Customs Authorities and brokers across EMEA. Review customs entries in line with established procedures. Investigate discrepancies and irregularities, and report findings. Manage customs entry adjustments, including duty refunds.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain an up-to-date schedule of trade flows and assigned customs brokers. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and data accuracy. Manage access to Customs Authority and broker portals, and securely archive relevant data.
- Brokerage Management: Maintain a schedule of trade flows and responsible brokers. Monitor broker performance, focusing on data accuracy, timeliness, and documentation quality. Act as the primary contact for broker-related queries and issue resolution. Collaborate with the TEC Product Trade Compliance (PTC) team to ensure brokers receive complete and timely trade master data (for example, HS codes, FTAs).
- Operational Support for Strategic Customs Compliance: Support the Senior Manager in delivering strategic customs compliance initiatives across EMEA and APAC. Manage day-to-day customs enquiries and clearance delays. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve operational issues. Provide operational insights to support strategic decision making.
What You'll Need
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent. Some experience in customs compliance / international trade or logistics within the European Union and United Kingdom. Working knowledge of import and export processes and customs documentation. Strong analytical skills and experience working with data. Good command of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation).
- Additional Advantages: Experience with trade compliance software or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Additional European language knowledge.
