Newell & Wright Transport are a family run company operating since 1974 and are one of the leading transport companies in South Yorkshire, transporting freight containers by road and rail to customers across the UK and all major UK ports. Due to our continued success, we are now looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our ever-growing team.

Daily Duties:

  • You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of HGVs and provide technical support from fault analysis through to completion.
  • You will be required to prepare HGVs for MOT and carry out repairs where necessary.
  • QC tests and presenting trailers for MOT.
  • General HGV Technician duties.
  • Working as part of a team to maintain and build employee relations to ensure the workshop operation achieves its objectives and targets.
  • Ensuring quality diagnostics and repairs according to repair orders.
  • Record and report time spent on repair and maintenance.
  • Assure a clean and safe workshop at all times.
