Your Role & Team in a Nutshell
As a Design Manager, you will lead the creative vision and deliver engaging visual content for the Breville and Sunbeam brands. You will guide a team of three designers and collaborate with cross-functional partners globally. Your role is key in ensuring our creative output is consistent, high quality and aligned with brand identity.
We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Senior Design Manager and Design Director to deliver the brand strategy, marketing projects, and campaigns.
- Deliver creative projects that align with brand identity across all consumer touchpoints and adhere to brand style guides including logo, product branding (online/offline), typography, packaging, photography, illustration, multimedia, video, and activation materials.
- Work with marketing, copywriting, design operations, graphic design and industrial design teams to produce compelling creative solutions.
- Lead and inspire a small team of graphic designers to develop best‑in‑class creative ideas and produce highly effective creative content executions, including packaging, point‑of‑sales, promotions, print/web advertising, web design, e‑commerce, email marketing, social media content, direct mail, collateral, video, and events.
- Present creative recommendations to marketing teams and ensure high‑quality output.
- Translate creative briefs into clear strategies, actions, and maintain strong relationships with cross‑functional partners.
- Provide creative direction to graphic designers, agency partners, photographers, and other artists, including leading direction for photo and video shoots.
- Ensure the effective use of the agreed messaging framework and call‑to‑action strategy across all Omnichannel and eCommerce marketing materials (emails, banner ads, SEM copy, landing pages, brand pages etc.).
- Support the Senior Design Manager in delivering the full content development process for brand.com traffic‑driving activity (such as email and paid social) including working with developers to build, prove and deploy marketing assets.
- Partner with Design Operations Manager to maintain project timing, project accuracy, and develop resource deployment that can deliver necessary content to ensure segment strategic objectives are met and achieve annual financial objectives.
What You’ll Need
- A university degree or college diploma in graphic design, art or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in creative or graphic design roles, including leading multi‑channel content delivery (e.g. copy, photography, video, rich media, campaigns, digital shelf: landing pages, product listing, product detail, banners, pages on retailer websites).
- Proven experience developing creative solutions for complex programmes and managing brand identity.
- Strong decision‑making skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
